Precision balances

Application number: EN - 2477

To mix a sample concrete in the laboratory, the various components (silicate fume, glass, fibers, or PCE (superplasticizer)) are precisely weighed using a scale. Precise handling is essential to ensure the concrete meets the required properties. This also prevents potential complaints or claims for damages due to incorrect concrete mixing.

Additional information

In Germany, there were long separate standards for the properties and production of concrete. Since summer 2023, these standards have been combined into the DIN 1045 series of standards: Structures made of concrete, reinforced concrete, and prestressed concrete. This series regulates, among other things, the requirements for raw materials, properties, and composition. The composition or components added to the concrete can be hard coal fly ash, color pigments, silicate dust, glass, fibers, or PCE (plasticizer). For a sample mix in the laboratory, the various components are precisely weighed using a scale. Precise handling is important to ensure the concrete meets the required properties. This also prevents potential claims for recourse due to incorrect concrete mixing.
