Horizontal drilling machines
Sound level meters
Application number: EN - 1229
According to the Noise Protection Ordinance (CE marking), the level of noise emissions must be checked for every machine or system placed on the market. In the case of series production, this applies to one model. In the event of non-compliance with the legal regulations of max. 70 dB, improvements can arise that cause subsequent costs for the manufacturer. With a sound level meter, the noise level can be recorded quickly and reliably.

Additional information
Noise pollution at workplaces depends to a large extent on the noise emitted by the machines used. Noise, for example in production halls, can cause hearing damage, tinnitus or mental illness. From 85 dB it becomes dangerous for the ear. That is why the legislator stipulates that the noise level (max. 70 dB) must be regularly checked and documented in production halls (CE marking/occupational health and safety regulations). When selling new machines, noise emission is a parameter that the producer must check before the machine is delivered. In series production, this applies to one model. Non-compliance with the legal regulations on noise restrictions can result in subsequent improvements that are charged to the manufacturer and thus cause subsequent costs. A sound level meter is used for sound testing, a quick and reliable form of noise level detection.
